I just wanted to thank all of our wonderful clients and friends who have kept us in your thoughts and prayers the last two weeks. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives! Some of you have waited days for me to return calls and messages, some have patiently waited weeks for your proofs, some have even enjoyed the proofs of other clients until I could re-burn CD's and ship the correct ones to you. You have graciously allowed me to reschedule appointments that were set up months in advance, and have been so kind to send messages letting us know you were thinking of us...it has meant so much!

Your kindness, love and patience has not gone unnoticed!!!

Carrie+Randy Wedding

I could not wait to shoot Carrie and Randy's wedding!!! It was our last wedding for this year, and I looked forward to it all summer! It was perfect in every way...Carrie is so creative and I love how she carried the theme of their wedding in all of the small details!

My faves thus far:

Carrie's shoes even matched Randy's tie....tell me she didn't think of everything!!!

She was just radiant!

I hope you guys had a fantastic time in Costa Maya! We can't wait to shoot your after-wedding session!

Yup, I'm pretty sure I butchered your name there...sorry! I've worked with Terri for the last 4 or 5 years (I've lost track...) and she in one of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met. You know, I honestly don't think I've ever heard her say a bad thing about anyone, and she's never once got angry when I, with out fail, make a mistake in my totals for the week. She's a saint... I luv her! I was tickled to take their family Christmas portrait this year. Alex is a little model!

Our 2010 investment guide is complete and will be posted Friday! You have until then to schedule your 2010 wedding or portrait session to secure the 2009 pricing!!! We also have one remaining portrait appointment available on Nov. 19th. This is the last available opportunity for fall portraits and Christmas ordering! The first one to contact me grabs it! :^)

Kristen+Rob Engagement

I actually feel asleep on the couch with my hands on the laptop!! I woke up after midnight and got Lyndon up out of his chair and headed to bed. I have a few minutes before my dentist appointment, so I thought I would get Kristen and Rob's post started.

I love love love finding new places to shoot, so I was thrilled to come to Raleigh to shoot their enagement session! We had a quick session near Raleigh for a couple who wanted a few shots for a surprise engagement (what a cool idea! Too bad it's a surprise and I can't post their pics for a while. lol), so we found a hotel in downtown late Saturday afternoon to scope out a few neat areas for Kristen and Rob. These guys have a neat story that's kinda like ours. They've dated for 7 years (since high school) and moved to NC when they dound teaching jobs in the same school district. They're getting married next year in upstate NY, and I'm seriously debating tagging along on their homeymoon...you know, just to document the first week of their lives toegther..not just because I really want to go to Italy! lol

Lyndon and I are so geographically challanged, so we walked....and walked...and walked looking for the downtown district before we realized I was reading the map wrong. We still found some great spots, and these guys were so patient as we tried to remember where we had been the night before.

Beside our hotel was a super cool run-down buiding, and I love a couple willing to tresspass to get good shots!

I love it!!! They were so super easy to work with, and required no direction...we were able to get lots of shots of them just being who they are!

it was so cold outside, but they were super patient with us, just walking around downtown looking for bright colors and cool textures:

I more I want to share, but I'm pretty sure Dr. Hill would like for me to go brush my teeth before my filling appointment today! I'll post more when I get home!

Okay, I'm back from a super dentist appointment, so here are two more before I return to proofing:

Jamie+Jared Engagement

I am not a morning person, but I knew our only chance of getting Jamie and Jared's session in before the rain came would be to get up at 5:30 to pack and drive down to Robbins by 8:00. I was afraid the day had been jinxed, because my camera began acting up the day before and my mom had my backup, plus poor Jamie called me at 7:00 to say it was raining there. We said a little prayer, and headed out the door, thinking the worse case scenario was it would rain our session out and we'd continue on to Raleigh for two more shoots. We scheduled their session months ago, and I really, really didn't want them to have to reschedule. God definitely smiled on us! The rain stopped just as we were beginning to shoot, and the overcast weather made for the perfect lighting! We had a great time shooting around their family's land:

Jamie is a dental assistant, and one of the job requirements is a beautiful smile...the dimples are a huge bonus!!!!

I seriously almost squealed when I saw this barn/hay thingie:

Jamie and Jared wanted pictures in the field where their house is going to be built...and these are some of my absolute faves! I forgot to mention that they will be living next to his mom and dad....his mom was such a huge help while we were shooting. I don't think she expected to become a photographer's assistant, but she was a very big help, and such a sweet lady!

I have many more from 'downtown' Robbins to edit, but I just had to skip ahead to theese next few! All week I had told Lyndon about the awesome chicken tenders at the Quick Check in Robbins. When I asked Jared if they still had them, he told me about the Slush Puppy machine!!!! I absolutely adore these two for letting me take pictures of them in the Quick Check and the parking lot with my slushies!!! These are the opportunities I live for! I have felt the need recently to expand our editing styles to include a warm, vintage-y style. Lyndon doesn't really care for it, but I kinda like it! Plus, it lends to the whole Quick Check ambiance ;^) Input is greatly appreciated!

I can not wait to shoot their wedding next year! Thank you guys for your hospitality, and letting Lyndon enjoy your rocking chair for a while!

I am off work tomorrow (can I get a 'wooooohooooo'), and the only thing on my agenda is two fillings

(yack) at my favorite dentist, Dr. Hill. so I'll have plenty of time to catch up on emails, proofing and our 2010 price guide. If you are getting married or thinking of booking a session for next year, now is the time to contact us before the investment guide changes (if you have sent an e-mail and are awaiting a reply you are covered in our 2009 prices through Nov 15). We had three fantastic couples this weekend, and will begin blogging them tonight!

We have ONE opening for a family/senior/engagement session on November 15th. This will be you last chance for Christmas ordering!!!

Amy+Tye Maternity

Amy is a dear sweet friend from High school and a fellow OCMS concert buddy! She and Tye are expecting their first baby next month. I have no doubt that he will be a little heartbreaker, and can't wait to meet him when he finally arrives! Poor Amy hasn't been feeling really well the last month or so, but she braved through our shoot even laying down on the ground a few times :^) I think this was our first offical maternity shoot, and I couldn't be more tickled with the results:
