    Barnhill Family Sneak Peek

I am always amazed at how blessed Lyndon and I are, we truly have the most wonderful clients! Last Sunday, we had a amazing shoot with the Barnhill family!!! They were so fabulous and inviting, I think we could have stayed all day! In fact, Tony's mother and father rent the lower floor of their lake house (location for our shoot), and Lyndon and I are hoping to spend at least one weekend there when wedding season calms down. It was SOOOO peaceful that morning, I could have fallen asleep in one of their rocking chairs, if the hamburgers didn't smell so good on the grill ;) If you're looking a perfect honeymoon spot or a weekend get-away at Badin Lake, let me know and I'll get you their contact info.

Tony had the sweetest idea for Sharon's Christmas present and got 16 members of their family together for a big group shot (we were waiting for good weather). I can't say enough good things about this group, everything went more smoothly than I could have ever hoped for.

I couldn't pick just  a few of my favorites, so this is a pretty long post:

Tony's mom and dad...so young and still so in love! Look how gorgeous their view is!

Tony and Sharon. Little background on these two: they've been married for five years, but act more like newlyweds, you can literally feel the love between the two of them.

Lyndon is our formal/posed picture expert, and I promise he has worked on plenty of his, but he forgot to give them to me for this post...they're there though :) After we had everyone together, we broke into smaller groups with the children and grandchildren. I stayed with Stacie and her family and Lyndon ran off with the pthers.

You may rember Carolina...she's a super cutie that we took baby pics of. She is sooo cute, I almost 'accidently' put her in the car with us when we left...lol. Can you blame me?

Can't you see how much they love each other?

Tony is a genuinely kind person...smiles don't lie, and he has a great one!

Thank you all for being so warm and welcoming! For feeding us, and being patient between poses, for everything...I can't say it enough!

    Talia+Eric Sneak Peek

Like always, I am behind posting a sneak peek from their Friday wedding. We had such a ball, and were thrilled to have another outdoor wedding! Poor Talia...they had called for rain all week long. The minute Lyndon and I got to the Magnolia Manor in Colfax, it started to pour down rain. It lasted just long enough to cool things off a little. We had beautiful sunshine for the ceremony! It turned out to be a gorgeous day to get married!

Here are my faves so far:

    Mothers Day

We have several traditions on mother's day. We usually meet with my parents, grandmother, aunt, uncle and cousins at the Chinese Buffet in Asheboro (it's my grandmothers favorite). This year, my mom and day were still at the beach with Jessica, so they couldn't make it. One of Lyndon's friends from high school is in town and we ending up staying up half the night...so we didn't make it either.

Then, we always meet Lyndon's side of the family for an after-dinner treat at the country store in Denton ~yummy~ We both had hot dogs, milk shakes, a giant pickle, some of the others were slightly more adventurous and order banana splits and sundaes!

Every year Emily and 'Cuz' have a race after we finish with out ice cream. She's never quite beaten him...but I'm fairly sure she gets closer every year...hehe.

    A Rare day off!

What a fabulous day!!! My baby sister graduated college today!!!! I just hate I couldn't be at the beach to watch her walk across the stage. I am so so so very proud of her!

Our large family session from this morning had to reschedule because all week long they were calling for rain, and one of the members is recovering from surgery (feel better soon stacie!)...so we had a rare Saturday off!!! It's the first Saturday in ages that we haven't had at least one shoot scheduled, and we don't have another one for a while, it was a pretty cruddy week so I declared today as a Saturday off. I have to admit though, we didn't quite know what to do with ourselves.

So what did we do? We woke up at 6:30 thanks to Maybelle (she definitely doesn't take after me), we lounged around for a little while and watched cartoons, then got to work on the living room. Finally after 5 weeks of having power tools and drywall dust littering the floor, we moved the dining room furniture back in and put the rug down in the living room. Lyndon has done a fabulous job ( I would post the 'after' pictures, but I can't... it's my day off...lol). It makes me kinda sentimental knowing that we're getting closer than ever to puttting our house on the market, but I can't wait to start building our dream home. We've changed floor plans yet again, and I think we're finally settled on a absoluting beautiful traditional house. We're going the first weekend we have open to Wilmington, and  we'll can actually see the house that we've wanted for so long! I'll be sure to post pictures :)

At noon we went to Lowes to look for our floor moulding and look for some accent shrubs, then headed downtown to check out the barbecue compitition and grab a few sandwiches. Wouldn't just you know, that on my day when I threw on the first thing I saw and barely combed my hair we ran in to half of the people we've ever known. Figures?!? I have some really cute shots that I wish I could post, but again, it's my day off :)

We came home, took a nap, enjoyed a brief thunderstorm, ate dinner at the campground, and now we've settled in with an adult beverage to watch the race. Ahhh, nice!

I know I had several calls to get out today, and I promise that business as usual will resume on Monday...so thanks guys for a day off and you'll hear from us within the next few days!
