Summer Colds STINK!!!

This is not an excuse for my recent laziness, just a vent I suppose. Really, doesn't it seem summer colds are far more crappy than winter colds? It started with a little achiness on Saturday, which I attributed to spending all day Friday at the water park with 3 kids until 19 (and one responsible adult....no, not me lol). I wish I had brought my camera, but not not sure any of you really want to see my cell phone pics. Anywho,I digress... by Sunday, on our way home from a 2 hour drive to check out the floor plan we're considering, we were talking full-blown sore throat-coughing-sneezing-snorting-headachy HELL.  I think I've averaged around 18 hours of sleep every day since. Today I have no fever and have started feeling a little better, so L.E. Shaw Photography is officially up and running again :)

Thank you to our sweet friend and cruise-buddy Jill for giving me a swift kick in the booty and encouraging me to post. Now, where did I put those recent senior sessions?

My poor neglected blog readers, I have not forgotten about you! We have been so wonderfully busy lately, I haven't had the time to update as much as I know I should. One of my more ambitious goals for our 2010 season was to blog every single session, but I'm beginning to think aiming for 50% may be more realistic.

I have been waiting for weeks to share Shelly's bridals with everyone!!! I think these are by far my favorite yet. I was trying to be more 'artistically flexible' (while Lyndon made sure he covered the traditional shots) and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. It doesn't hurt that Shelly is drop-dead beautiful either. I can't wait to share their sneak peek with you all...but we literally just walked in the door and I have to upload them first (that's how excited I am about her bridals...lol). Some of these are a little bigger than normal, I couldn't bare to crop them too much.

Lindsey+Kirke Sneak Peek

We're back!!! And, I have Lindsey and Kirke's sneak peek ready. Can you guys believe that I actually went an entire 48 hours without so much as opening my laptop. It's true, but I have to admit I did use my cell for blog stalking and facebook...lol.

Our 'couples retreat' weekend got off to a fantastic start with this super cool Friday wedding.  When Lindsey's sister contacted me about shooting Lindsey's backyard wedding, I wasn't imagining something as grand as we walked into. It reminded me SO much of outdoor reception in  'Steel Magnolias' (my second fave movie, by the way)...they definitely poured a lot of hard work into the details. See for yourself:

This is her sister Stephanie, if she looks familiar...she was a bridesmaid in Cassandra's wedding :) She's the only person we've ever taken pictures of that is smiling in every single last one!

These guys were flippin' hilarious and kept us on our toes...lol

If this were my family, it would so go on my wall. Maybe even over our fireplace! It reminds me of an 80's sitcom where someone can't figure out their camera and ends up actually taking the picture long after everyone smiles and gets ready to walk away (don't worry guys, we do have a picture where everyone is looking!.

We had a great time, and can I just say...ate the best Greek food I have ever put in my mouth!!!! Hope you guys have a great time at the beach!!!

Daily News:

I wanted to let everyone know that we will be out of town again this weekend until late Sunday. I'm having issues with our e-mail and haven't been able to access it since last nigt, so there won't be a notice when you message us.  To the '10 brides who sent messages this week, I am not ignoring you...lol I have your information packets ready to be sent out as soon as I can log back in :)
