    Carrie+Randy 2

hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Labor Day! My days were completely confused. I kept thinking Sunday was Saturday (b/c we were shooting and were off the next day), so I'd forgotten about everything we had to do yesterday. I did have time to work on more pictures for

Carrie and Randy, but not enough time to get them blogged so here ya go:

I couldn't have asked for anything more from Sunday! Beautiful weather, nice breeze, lovely couple and gorgeous light!  Lyndon is not a big fan of shooting into the sun, but I LOVE the warmness of the light...call me odd. I'm so glad that they thought of this location because it really did make for some great images and they're completely different from any railroad shots we've done before.

I love love love this one:

Carrie is SOooo beautiful and photogenic! Good grief what I wouldn't give to have her pretty glowing skin. This one shows it best:

They were seriously such good sports and up for anything....which I think totally pays off. How cool is this wall? I can't believe Asheboro actually has something so nifty... its totally my new favorite spot:

    Carrie+Randy Engagement

Here I am awake at 1am....why am I awake at 1am??? Because I cannot stop editing Carrie and Randy's images from today! I am almost 3/4 finished proofing all of my pictures from their engagement session today....which is a first in the 3 years that we've been shooting professionally.  I usally finish all of the edits before I start blogging, but I couldn't wait :)

    Here's my favorite so far:

Arghhhh....today was so perfect (aside from Lyndon turning both his ankles...you should see the bruise on his right foot. Poor lil' feller!) that I can't stop blogging. Here are more of my favorites thus far:

I'm sure I'll have many many more to share tomorrow (or would that be today???) These guys were such troopers and so great to work with I wanted to make sure they had something posted ASAP :)

    We conquer Facebook!

We're on facebook!!!! I've been working hard to put recent samples of our work on FB and have a total of 5 fans right now ~sniffle~ In a desperate attempt to achieve the popularity that has eluded me all of my life I decided to offer a s-weet limited time ‘special’  (shhhh....don't tell Lyndon!). Here's the deal: any 2010, or ambitious 2011, senior who 'fans' us before 9/30/09 will receive 50 free wallets when they reserve their session.

    Super easy huh?

     We are here

I'm working on sweetening the deal for those of you who have already graduated and more interested in baby pictures and getting married. Anyone who fans us before 9/30/09 and mentions the blog (either by comment here, on FB or e-mail) will receive something special. I will only post what the special 'something' is on facebook, but I assure you it is very very big (think something with a spine and lots of pages....that's BIG).

Again the fan club is here:

My goal is to reach 100 fans as soon as possible, please please help :-)

    weekend get-away

September 1st????? Seriously, where has time gone? Summer, why must you leave me?

We spent the weekend in Blowing Rock this weekend and let me tell you, it was downright cold! We went from 90's here in Asheboro on Friday to 50's that night in the mountains. Probably not the best idea for two people hacking and snorting from summer colds, but eh...we already had tickets to the show. There was no turning back. If you'd like to have a nice little couples retreat I would highly recommend www.chetola.com in the quaint little village of Blowing Rock. It was a short 2 hour drive from Greensboro, but seemed a world away. B-Utiful place to stay and such a cozy atmosphere. Super romantic also, so if there are any men folk out there reading this (which I doubt to awful many are) take it from me and book the romance package! You won't regret it! Words are nothing without pictures so here ya go:

I have to admit I was still sick and pretty stressed from our busy season, so although I lugged the camera around the entire day I didn't shoot very much. We parked around 9:00 and walked the streets until after 1:00. There's plenty to see and do in the downtown district. Cute apples at one of the many antique stores:

     Creepy steps:

I got one picture of our Saturday night dinner before the camera battery died. If I could only get one shot, I'm happy that it was this one (even it is fromn our craptastic little point-and-shoot):

I love, love, love trying new, especially local, beers and this was "Blowing Rock' pale ale. Cool huh?

On our way back to grab a nap at the hotel before our 8pm play we passed this house. How often do you see this on a roof?

    Lovely scenery....

    More mountains.....

Happy feet! No, that's not a real tattoo. No yet anyway. Pssghetti's had these cute little temp tattoos. I’ve wanted a real tat for ever but have always been to fickle to decide on what I'd like branded on my body for the rest of my life. I've finally mad up my mind, and now am trying to convince my mom and sis to get matching ones on their feet (super sweet Christmas present from me...right?). I thought I'd give this one a test drive, just to see how I'd like it on my foot.

Me running to get in the picture with Lyndon before the timer went off: s-u-c-c-e-s-s!

We enjoyed a very leisurely (those of you who know me know that 'liesurely6' is not something I normally do well...) drive down the parkway home. We stopped every so often at rest stops and overlooks. We decided to walk the trails on our last stop before getting on the highway, and then we saw this sign. Okay, so I know it's silly but it still made me second guess whether hiking was a good idea. Just in case it doesn't show the handwritten sign says 'BEWARE OF BEARS'. Oh my! Nope, we parked our butts back in the car and decided the NC mineral museum was more our style.

The bad news, I soooo didn't want to come home. The good news, I am officially caught up on everything...all emails, all orders, all proofing. ~yes~ this never happens, and probably will not happen again for another 6 months. The great news, 31 days to our official vacation!

Reminder: we will be on vacation from 10/1-10/11..out of the country, cell phones off, no internet access, and gorging ourselves silly on good food :) ~pure heaven~

    Happy autumn everyone!

    -Jo Beth

    Travis-Senior

Meet Travis, our first 2010 senior from East Montgomery High School. We shot these at the N.C. zoo and Pisgah covered bridge. They were lots of fun to work with, but he is one hard guy to make smile....we got some great ones in though!

I LOVE love love this one:

Isn't he a cutie? The covered bridge may be my new favorite place to shoot too!

We will be in Boone this weekend and may have limited cell reception. I will return all call and e-mail by next Tuesday! :)
